Summer Lunch at Farnham

Farnham residents and friends dining in style in Anthony Turner's field and enjoying the sun as well!
Defying the record of the last two years the 'team' set about erecting the tables and awnings confident that this year we would eat out of doors.
The weather forecast for Harrogate and district was for 'light showers' from about 1.00 pm so they took a chance.
On the understanding that it is better to be born lucky than clever the decision to go ahead was fully justified.
The weather remained fine and there were several periods of hot sun with more demand for parasols than umbrellas.
The food was, as usual, excellent and the ladies who served it, delightful.
The traditional raffle was held and many prizes caried away.
The afternoon concluded with a walk around the Turner's delightful garden and at about 3.30 pm it started to spit with rain, the timing was excellent.

Thanks again to the men who set up the field and to the ladies for serving the food.

But most of all to Anthony & Shiela for inviting us to their field and the team who organised the whole event!
